Use Google's X-Y-Z Formula
Google’s X-Y-Z formula is an industry best practice for crafting your resume. It’s concisely explained in this article and so I won’t repeat exactly what it is here but I’d highly recommend applying this format to all/as many bullet points as you can.
Note that metrics and accomplishments are very important to include in your work experience bullet points but not as much in your projects’ (though if you have them that’s great). If you can’t find a metric to include, what you learned can be a substitute for the “accomplishment” portion. However, as much as possible, you should aim to have some metric to lend credibility for your achievements. Metrics don’t need to be extremely precise and even back-of-the-envelope type calculations to come up with metrics are okay.
One tip about including metrics is try to avoid round numbers when you can. For example “Improved latency by 19%” seems more specifically calculated and therefore more credible than “improved latency by 20%” which uses a round “20%”. You should not lie just for the sake of not getting a non-round number, but you should also not deliberately round your numbers.
